The review meeting was attended by the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of JaKeGA, Director Finance JaKeGA, and technical staff of the agency. During the session, the CEO briefed the Minister on the agency’s physical and financial progress, along with upcoming projects, through a detailed PowerPoint presentation.

Key Insights and Progress:

The CEO informed the Minister that JaKeGA serves as the nodal agency for implementing Information Technology (IT), Information Technology Enabled Services (ITES), and e-governance projects across Jammu and Kashmir. The primary objective of JaKeGA is to design, deliver, and manage these e-governance initiatives by providing essential administrative, financial, legal, and technical support.

Push for E-Services Centres:

The Minister further stressed the importance of leveraging technology to enhance transparency, improve efficiency, and ensure that the benefits of e-governance projects are fully realized by the people of Jammu and Kashmir.

Looking Ahead:

With the successful implementation of e-governance projects, the government aims to strengthen digital infrastructure and improve the overall service delivery system. Minister Sharma’s review highlights the ongoing efforts to bring about a digital transformation in the region, with JaKeGA at the forefront of these initiatives.
