The sacred Ram Mandir in Ayodhya is set to witness another milestone as the ‘Ram Darbar’ will be installed on the temple’s first floor on May 23, 2025, and will be opened for public darshan from June 6. The announcement was made by Nripendra Mishra, Chairperson of the Temple Construction Committee.

While the event will be deeply religious in nature, it will not be a consecration (Pran Pratistha) ceremony, as the Pran Pratistha of Ram Lalla was already conducted on January 22, 2024, in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

🛕 Ram as ‘Raja Ram’ to Grace the First Floor

Speaking to PTI, Mishra clarified, “The Pran Pratistha of Ram Lalla was held on the ground floor in 2024. Now, it is the turn of ‘Raja Ram’ (Ram in his royal form) to be placed in the Ram Darbar on the first floor of the temple.”

The Ram Darbar will include an approximately 5-ft tall idol of Lord Ram carved in white marble in Jaipur, along with idols of Goddess Sita, Lakshman, Bharat, Shatrughan, and Hanuman.

📿 Religious Ceremonies Before Public Opening

Though Mishra clarified it would not be a consecration ceremony, he noted that ritualistic pujas would be conducted in the lead-up to the installation.
“These pujas will begin ahead of the installation and will conclude on June 5, aligning with auspicious planetary timings. The Darbar will then be thrown open to devotees on June 6,” he added.

🧱 Temple Construction Nearing Completion

The construction of the main temple, which began in 2020, will be fully complete by June 5, including the second floor, Mishra confirmed. However, the peripheral compound wall and some additional elements are expected to take a few more months to finish.

In addition to the Ram temple itself, seven auxiliary temples, including one dedicated to Maharishi Valmiki, will also be completed and ready for devotees by June 6.

🎉 A Modest Ceremony Compared to January 2024

When asked whether this installation would mirror the grandeur of the January 22, 2024 Pran Pratistha ceremony, Mishra said, “This will be a more intimate religious affair. Decisions regarding the scale of the event will be made by the Ram Temple Trust.”

As the spiritual and cultural heart of Ayodhya continues to evolve, the upcoming Ram Darbar installation promises to be another significant chapter in the temple’s history, drawing millions of devotees to the revered site.
