Uri, Baramulla, Sep 21: Senior Congress leaders today addressed a Voter Adhikar Samelan in Uri, Baramulla district, highlighting the importance of protecting democratic rights and strengthening grassroots participation.
The event was led by AICC General Secretary in-charge J&K, Dr. Syed Naseer Hussain (MP, Rajya Sabha), along with JKPCC President Tariq Hameed Karra, AICC General Secretary & CLP Leader G.A. Mir, and several senior leaders of the Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee.
The Samelan was organised by former minister Taj Mohiuddin, drawing wide participation from party cadres and the local populace.
Prominent leaders who addressed the gathering included former minister G.M. Saroori, MLA Nizamuddin Bhat, MLA Irfan Lone, Ab. Raheem Rather, Abdul Gani Khan, S.S. Channi, Nissar Ahmad Mandoo, Abid Kashmiri, Mir Iqbal, Irfan Naqib, Fayaz Mir and several others.
Speakers reaffirmed Congress’s commitment to safeguard the rights of voters, defend constitutional values, and provide a strong alternative to the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
