Youth Services & Sports Dept Flags Off Trekking Camp at Mansar

In a bid to promote adventure sports and facilitate the holistic development of youth, Director General of Youth Services and Sports (YSS) J&K, Rajinder Singh Tara, flagged off a contingent of 141 students and 15 officials for a District-Level Trekking Camp at Mansar.

The five-day trekking expedition comprises students from 14 zones of district Jammu, including 10 females and 5 males. The initiative aims to foster resilience, teamwork, and a deep connection with nature among the participants.

Speaking at the event, Tara highlighted the significance of adventure activities in youth development. He emphasized that such programs allow young individuals to explore their potential, enhance cultural exchange, and develop essential life skills.

The trekkers will be guided by experienced officials to ensure their safety throughout the journey. Deputy Director YSS, Jitender Mishra, and District Youth Services Officer, Sukhdev Raj Sharma, also expressed their support for the initiative, underlining its role in shaping the future of young adventurers.

The department reiterated its commitment to providing meaningful opportunities for youth engagement and personal growth through sports and outdoor activities.
