Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Choudhary on Thursday said that the people of Jammu and Kashmir continue to place their trust in the Constitution of India and its democratic institutions, including the Supreme Court.Jammu real estateJobs in Jammu

Speaking to the media, Choudhary said that the residents of J&K have always believed in India’s democratic system and expressed hope that the Supreme Court will take into account the concerns and expectations of ordinary citizens, especially those living in remote and rural areas.

He highlighted the challenges faced by farmers, labourers, and shopkeepers, noting that their daily struggles should be understood by the country’s top court. One of the most pressing concerns, he said, is unemployment among youth in Jammu and Kashmir. “Nearly every household has at least one unemployed young person, and their voices — along with those of their families — deserve to be heard,” he remarked.

Choudhary said that parents across J&K work tirelessly with hopes that their children will find employment and live with dignity. He urged that the Supreme Court must consider these ground realities while deciding matters related to the Union Territory’s governance.Jammu real estateJobs in Jammu

Referring to the political landscape, the Deputy CM pointed out that Jammu and Kashmir has had an elected government for the past year, led by Omar Abdullah, contrasting it with what he described as a previous period of nominated or selected governance.

“The current situation raises an important question — should Jammu and Kashmir be governed by leaders elected by the people or by individuals who have held power without an electoral mandate?” he asked.

Choudhary added that the Supreme Court’s decision will not only have legal implications but will also carry a deep message for the people of the region, who have participated in the democratic process and placed their faith in elected representatives.Jammu real estateJobs in Jammu

He concluded by saying that the aspirations of ordinary people — farmers, drivers, workers, and parents — must remain central to all decisions concerning Jammu and Kashmir’s governance.
