Director Agriculture Inaugurates Fully Automated Pulse Jet Bag Filter at Seed Processing Plant

Director Agriculture Jammu, S. Arvinder Singh Reen, inaugurated and commissioned a fully automated pulse jet bag filter at Plant No. 2 of the Seed Processing Plant at the Government Agriculture Engineering Workshop, Jammu. The state-of-the-art facility boasts a filtration capacity of 64 bags and is powered by a 15HP CG motor and blower.

The inauguration event was attended by Agriculture Research Engineer Er. Vinay Kumar Bhardwaj, Er. Arshad Hussain AAE, Er. Rajeev Magotra SMS-II (Engg.), along with the staff of the Agriculture Engineering Workshop.

Director Agriculture, S. Arvinder Singh Reen, highlighted the benefits of the newly installed pulse jet bag filter in improving air quality and boosting the operational efficiency of the seed processing plant. “This is a landmark achievement as it marks the first successful commissioning of such environmental control equipment in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. The system is fully automated and controlled through an electronic panel, ensuring seamless operation,” he said.

The pulse jet bag filter is designed to enhance the working environment by reducing airborne contaminants, thereby contributing to sustainable and eco-friendly operations at the plant. This technological upgrade aligns with the department’s commitment to adopting innovative solutions for agricultural advancements.

The Agriculture Department continues to prioritize modernization and efficiency in its facilities, setting a benchmark for operational standards in Jammu and Kashmir.
