Deputy Commissioner Sachin Kumar Vaishya visited the ongoing classes for rehabilitated street children today to assess the progress of the initiative led by the district administration. The programme, a joint effort of the Social Welfare and Education Departments, aims to offer a fresh start to children previously involved in begging and street vending.

Empowering Street Children through Education

During his visit, the Deputy Commissioner interacted with the children, asking them about their learning progress and evaluating the impact of the initiative. Vaishya expressed satisfaction with the enthusiasm shown by the children for education and appreciated their commitment to continuing their studies.

“These children, who were once engaged in street activities, are now taking significant steps toward a brighter future through education. Their dedication to learning is commendable, and it shows the positive impact of this initiative,” the Deputy Commissioner said.

Comprehensive Support for Education

The programme currently supports around 80 children who are receiving regular classes. In addition to education, the children are provided with school uniforms, stationery, and lunch, ensuring they have all the necessary resources to succeed. The initiative is designed not only to educate these children but also to help them integrate into mainstream society, offering them opportunities for a better future.

A Step Towards Social Integration

This initiative reflects the district administration’s commitment to improving the lives of marginalized children, giving them the chance to break free from their past and build a more stable and productive future.
