Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Thursday felicitated the J&K Deaf Cricket Team for their remarkable achievement in securing the Runner-Up position at the 9th IDCA T20 National Championship for the Deaf.
Congratulating the players, the Chief Minister praised their determination, resilience and exceptional skill, saying their performance reflects the “true spirit of dedication and hard work.”
He expressed confidence that the team would continue to shine in national tournaments and bring more laurels to Jammu & Kashmir.
Sharing his congratulatory message on social media, Omar Abdullah wrote:
“Honoured to felicitate the J&K Deaf Cricket Team for their outstanding performance in the 9th IDCA T20 National Championship for the Deaf. Wishing them even greater victories ahead.”
Sports Minister Satish Sharma Also Meets Team
Meanwhile, Sports Minister Satish Sharma met the players and congratulated them for their impressive performance. He emphasised the importance of supporting differently-abled athletes and strengthening inclusive sports initiatives across the Union Territory.
The Minister reaffirmed the government’s commitment to providing equal opportunities, training facilities and recognition to specially-abled sportspersons.
