Sambhal, Nov 12 : Former Congress leader and Kalki Peethadhishwar Acharya Pramod Krishnam criticized Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge for his comments on Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, emphasizing that “true Hindus” respect their religious figures.

Kharge had recently criticized Adityanath at a rally in Nagpur for his divisive slogan, “batenge toh katenge” (if divided, we will be wiped out), calling it inflammatory. In a follow-up statement at a Jharkhand rally, Kharge remarked, “A true Yogi cannot use language like ‘batenge toh katenge.’ Such language resembles that of terrorists. Yogi, despite being the head of a mutt and donning saffron, uses divisive language.”

Responding to Kharge’s remarks, Krishnam said, “While Mallikarjun Kharge’s name suggests he is Hindu, his actions don’t reflect it.” He criticized Kharge’s comments, asserting they reflected hostility toward Sanatan Dharma. Krishnam further remarked, “Senior leaders like Kharge should avoid disrespecting Hindu saints, Sanatan Dharma, or the saffron flag, as true Hindus do not undermine their religious figures.”
