In a fiercely contested clash at the TRC Ground, Real Kashmir FC (RKFC) held Churchill Brothers Goa to a 1-1 draw, clinching third place in the I-League 2024-25 standings and remaining unbeaten at home this season.

Unbeaten at Home, Unshaken in Spirit

With this result, RKFC finished the league campaign on 37 points, just behind Churchill Brothers (40 points) and Inter Kashi (39 points). However, a pending verdict from the All India Football Federation (AIFF) regarding one of Inter Kashi’s fixtures could potentially lift RKFC to the second spot — a remarkable feat for the Valley-based club.

👏 Electrifying Atmosphere in Srinagar

Over 6,000 passionate fans turned up to support the Snow Leopards at home, creating an electric atmosphere. The crowd included dignitaries such as:

  • 🧑‍⚖️ Chief Minister Omar Abdullah
  • 🧑‍💼 Advisor Nasir Aslam Wani
  • 📝 Commissioner Secretary YSS, Sarmad Hafeez
  • 👩‍💼 Secretary J&K Sports Council, Nuzhat Gul

The match began with a bang as RKFC scored an early opener, sending the crowd into a frenzy. Churchill Brothers, however, struck back with a second-half equalizer, leading to a hard-fought draw.

🏟️ TRC Ground – Fortress Kashmir

RKFC’s home record this season has been nothing short of phenomenal11 matches, zero losses. This consistency at home has been instrumental in their top-three finish.

🗣️ Voices from the Ground

After the match, RKFC owner Arshid Shawl expressed heartfelt thanks to fans, players, sponsors, and dignitaries for their unwavering support throughout the season.

🗨️ “This has been an extraordinary season. Our fans are our biggest strength, and to stay unbeaten at home shows our grit and passion,” said Shawl.

CM Omar Abdullah, who interacted with players post-match, also praised RKFC’s contribution to promoting football in Jammu & Kashmir, and proudly wore the RKFC jersey, showing his solidarity with the team.

🎉 A Moment for the Valley
As RKFC continues to shine on the national stage, this result underscores the club’s commitment to football excellence and its ever-growing legacy in Indian football.
