The Raj Bhawan in Jammu and Kashmir today celebrated the Foundation Day of Uttar Pradesh with a vibrant event attended by senior government officials, students, and members of the Uttar Pradesh community currently residing in the Union Territory. The occasion was marked by heartfelt tributes to the state’s rich history and cultural heritage.

Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha extended his warm greetings and best wishes to the people of Uttar Pradesh, acknowledging their significant contributions to the nation. In his address, he paid tribute to the freedom fighters, revolutionaries, and cultural luminaries from Uttar Pradesh, whose dedication and sacrifices have played a pivotal role in India’s growth and modernization.

A Tribute to Revolutionaries and Cultural Icons

“The blessed land of great revolutionaries like Mahamana Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya, Mangal Pandey, Chandra Shekhar Azad, Rani Lakshmi Bai, and Begum Hazrat Mahal is not just a historical symbol but a beacon of patriotism, cultural heritage, and innovation. These individuals have shaped the path of our nation’s freedom and progress,” said the Lieutenant Governor.

He also celebrated Uttar Pradesh’s remarkable contributions to Indian culture, describing the state as one of the most ancient cradles of Indian civilization. “Uttar Pradesh is a land of pilgrimage, spiritualism, knowledge, and literature. It is an ultimate destination for intellectuals, historians, and travelers. With sacred rivers and ancient civilizational cities, the state continues to guide the society towards prosperity and progress,” he added.

Prayers for Progress and Well-being

In his message, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha expressed his hopes for Uttar Pradesh’s continued success. “I pray that Uttar Pradesh scales new heights of progress and that its people are blessed with good health and well-being,” he concluded.

The event at Raj Bhawan served as a reminder of the deep-rooted connection between Uttar Pradesh’s rich history and its present-day contributions to the nation. The celebration was a fitting homage to the state’s revolutionary spirit, cultural heritage, and enduring influence on India’s growth.
