Second Ice Hockey Coaching Camp and First Block-Level Championship Conclude at Tai-Suru

The Second Ice Hockey Coaching Camp-2025 and the inaugural Block-Level Ice Hockey Championship-2025 concluded today at the Ice Hockey Rink in Tai-Suru, marking a successful culmination of 20 days of intense training and competitive action.

The events were organized by the ZPEO Tai-Suru, with significant support from Councillor Taisuru, Abdul Hadi, who graced the event as the chief guest. Tehsildar Taisuru, Abdul Rehman, attended as the special guest, with additional dignitaries including Block Development Officer Taisuru, Rukhsar Ahmad, I/c Block Medical Officer Tai-Suru, Dr. Umar, and Headmaster of High School Youljuk, Mohd Hassan.

20-Day Coaching Camp and Championship Highlights

The Ice Hockey Coaching Camp, which spanned 20 days, saw the participation of 180 enthusiastic students who underwent rigorous training under the guidance of Coach Mohd Ishaq. The Block-Level Championship featured fierce competition, with seven boys’ teams and four girls’ teams vying for the coveted titles.

In the girls’ final, the Nun Kun Ice Hockey Team, led by Arifa Batool, secured a dominant 4-1 victory over the Suru Valley Ice Hockey Team. Meanwhile, in the boys’ final, Ice Warriors Taisuru, captained by Qasim Ali, emerged victorious with a resounding 7-0 win over the Suru Valley Titans.

Prize Distribution and Acknowledgments

To honor the efforts and achievements of all involved, the Councillor of Taisuru presented cash prizes to the maintenance committee members and event staff. Additionally, medals, mementos, and certificates were awarded to the winners, runners-up, and officials for their contributions and performance.

Coach Mohd Ishaq, who served as the ZPEO Tai-Suru, expressed his heartfelt gratitude for the support and cooperation extended by everyone involved in making the camp and championship a success. His efforts in training and promoting ice hockey in the region were widely appreciated, and the event marked a significant step forward in fostering sports development in Tai-Suru.
