Showcasing Jammu and Kashmir’s Scenic Beauty

The launch included wall calendars and table calendars featuring mesmerizing images of the region’s landscapes, cultural heritage, and top tourist spots. These calendars, meant to capture the essence of Jammu and Kashmir’s natural beauty, highlight the region’s diverse attractions from its snowy peaks to lush valleys, and historic monuments.

The trekking maps unveiled at the event are designed to showcase the various adventurous trekking routes in the region. These include renowned trails such as the Kolahoi Glacier Trek, Khrew-Wasterwan Trail, Gurez-Sonamarg Trek, Sarbal Bear Valley Trek, and Margan Pass Tsoharmarg Trek. The maps are aimed at providing trekkers and adventurers with detailed information to explore the hidden gems of the region.

Promoting Jammu and Kashmir as a Global Tourist Destination

In his speech at the launch, Omar Abdullah commended the efforts of the Tourism Department, stressing the importance of these initiatives in promoting Jammu and Kashmir as a premier tourist destination. “These calendars and trekking maps will serve as valuable tools to inform people about our region’s stunning tourist destinations and exciting trekking routes. This initiative will undoubtedly help attract more visitors to explore the natural beauty and adventure opportunities our state offers,” the Chief Minister said.

By highlighting the breathtaking landscapes and rich cultural heritage of Jammu and Kashmir, the launch is expected to encourage both domestic and international tourism. The trekking maps, in particular, will be instrumental in guiding adventurers to some of the most scenic and challenging trails the state has to offer.

A Step Towards Sustainable Tourism Growth

The launch of the calendars and trekking maps is a part of the state’s ongoing efforts to promote sustainable tourism and boost local economies through the travel and hospitality sector. With an increasing interest in adventure tourism and eco-tourism, Jammu and Kashmir is positioning itself as a leading destination for both leisure and adventure seekers.

As the tourism industry continues to grow, the government’s focus remains on enhancing infrastructure and ensuring that the natural beauty of the region is preserved for future generations.
