As per the newly implemented Jammu and Kashmir Police (Gazetted) Services Recruitment Rules, 2024, there are two IGP-equivalent posts and six DIG-equivalent posts reserved specifically for JKPS officers. However, two promotion proposals were placed in a sealed cover for future consideration, and the final posting orders will follow after further assessments.
