Authorities confirmed the death of eight people in the accident. A rescue operation was swiftly launched by the police and district administration, who transported the injured to nearby hospitals. A team from the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) also arrived at the site to provide assistance.

Weather and Cause of Accident

Officials stated that the inclement weather in the area might have played a role in the tragedy. However, the exact cause of the accident is yet to be determined.

Bathinda Deputy Commissioner Showkat Ahmad Parray, who was present to oversee the rescue efforts, said medical teams and ambulances were dispatched promptly to manage the situation.

This tragic incident underscores the need for heightened road safety measures and rigorous oversight of vehicle operations to prevent such devastating accidents in the future.
